October Is Here Again!

Everything You Need to Know about October!

Welcome to a wonderful month with different fun.

Everyone thinks that deep down every woman yearns to be married and live with the love of her life. This is untrue! Really what they yearn for is the moment — the magic question, the ultimate magic moment. It means more than just "I love you" ever could.

If you can bring that moment briefly to her, she will instantly be grateful... and you don't even have to be sincere.

First of all, look incredulously at the woman upon whom you have taken your fancy, walk up and say simply and surely (eye to eye contact and all that), "Will you marry me?"

This brings, firstly, a stunned look. Even the most hard-bitten woman reacts despite the fact you probably don't mean it. If they're not flattered, they at least find it amusing. You have asked them, and they have waited for that moment.

Even though it is just you, those words inflate a woman's self-esteem beyond measure. We all know "You're beautiful" or "You're really sexy" can work, but generally they don't. The women just brush them off. They've heard those words before and they just don't make the cut.

But no one ever asks for their hand in marriage, and it amazes them. The usual reaction is:

Laughs. Says, "No".

1) So you say either, "Ok, just kiss me." Invariably they will. It's nothing on marriage after all.

Or you can go for the Don Juan expander which will be fully appreciated:

2) "Then I must leave and we shall never meet again; our love is left unrequited. Kiss me farewell."

No. 2 may seem a failed attempt, but I promise you will get that farewell kiss. And who knows what can happen from there.

If you like kissing girlies at least, this is a sure-fire winner.

She also noted that she’s was mentally exhausted and done with online bullying.

In her own words; “I am not perfect but I am done! Done with the negativity. Done with the online bullying. Done with being judged constantly. I am mentally exhausted”

Pastor Enenche Has Voice Out On ‘Attack On His Church Members’

The General Overseer and Senior Pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Church, DIGC, Dr Paul Enenche, has reacted to an alleged attack on his church branch by some hoodlums.

A report had emerged earlier that some gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Monday broke into a branch of DIGC in Kubwa, in the Bwari area council of the Federal Capital Territory.

A source claimed that the criminals, numbering over 10, invaded the church around 3:00 am on Monday to carry out their nefarious activities.

One of the church’s security guards reportedly resisted them but was overpowered and stabbed in the stomach.

According to Daily Post, the source further alleged that the robbers became annoyed on discovering that they could not find any money or other valuables to steal.

He said: “The incident happened around 3:00 am on Monday. The robbers came and John tried to resist them. During the fracas, he was overpowered and stabbed in the stomach.

“He was rushed to the General Hospital in Kubwa but because doctors were on strike, there was nothing that could be done. He was thereafter transferred to another private hospital in Abuja.”

However, Pastor Enenche while delivering a sermon in the church during the week, faulted the reports, saying it was a demonic agenda by enemies of the church to tarnish the image of the ministry.

Pastor Enenche declared that originators of the fake news are playing with hellfire.

Enenche though admitted that at a particular location of the Church, a petty thieve tried to enter the church to steal something in the night but was resisted immediately as an alarm was raised and the thief ran off the fence.

“There was demonic news that someone drew my attention to saying that a devil’s church, not this church was invaded and worshippers were attacked by armed men,” the renowned clergyman said.

He added: “We live in a world that is striving on lies especially on social media. I don’t know if 80 to 90 per cent of the news there is true. We also live in a world where people anticipate evil for others. From a rooted heart of bitterness, all manner of anything, the wickedness of heart, continuously expecting evil new.

“And then they push what is unreal, untrue, we are worshipping here right now. Nothing happened.

“For everybody who tells a story that is not true, whether you are telling it online or in hardcopy paper, channel or whatever, I refer you to Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”.

“When you tell a story that is not true it is hellfire you are playing with. When you push stories that you are not sure of or rumours that are not correct, it is hellfire you are playing with.

“There is no truth in what they said. In a particular location, a petty thieve tried to enter the church to steal something in the night but was resisted, an alarm was raised and he ran off the fence.

“Then one demonic agent pick a hint of such unsuccessful misadventure of petty criminals and said armed men attack worshippers. That devil is a bastard. Nothing like that has happened and it will never happen in Jesus’ name”.

Matters On Ground:The Protests Are Louder And Longer This Time Around

In America, the stark cruelty of the video of George Floyd’s killing beneath a white police officer’s knee was the peak of a perverse constellation of racial injustice that sparked swelling protests across the country. In Nigeria, the rape and brutal killing of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 22-year-old microbiology student inside her local church propelled and unprecedented wave of allegations against rapists and sexual offenders.

As a Nigerian woman living in America, I am broken by these two isolated but comparable events. There was no ambiguity in that video. An unarmed black man in Minnesota who posed no threat begged for his life for almost nine minutes as bystanders who tried to interfere were told to stay away. If that horror had not been captured on video, Floyd’s legacy would probably have been read as a black man who died while resisting police arrest. But it was,
giving the world a modern-day view of a visceral execution.

George Floyd

Uwaila’s rape and murder did not have a compassionate audience, but her death stung all the same. The promising University of Benin student was described by her father as “intelligent and disciplined”, and the celebration of her recent admission into the university was still fresh in their memories. What was supposed to be a private study time in a quiet church turned out to be a blood bath.

These tragedies reek of all the regular culprits: injustice, racism, patriarchy, insecurity, violence, slavery, inequality, stigmatization and many more. The stench is so strong, it has awakened millions across the world to a revolution. White people have realized that the weight of their silence is just as deadly and they are protesting, taking the knee, washing black people’s feet, demanding an end to systemic racism. Nigerian women and girls have
shrugged off the unfounded stigma that is still unfairly connected to victims of rape and are calling out their abusers, demanding justice, actively seeking prosecution of rapists. From Benin to Minneapolis, from the oppressed to the oppressor – and everyone in between – the world is choosing a radically different path forward that would definitely make its mark in the books of history.

But, why now? Why did it take so long for us to fight? Why is the elevation of emotion particularly strong at this time? Why is the world uniting in a concerted, continuous outcry?
Racism and police brutality in America is not the exception, it has for centuries been uncomfortably regarded as the norm. Remember Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Freddie Gray, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and countless others whose names speak to the shame of the American slave history.

Rape and sexual molestation of women and girls in Nigeria have its roots deep in patriarchy, illiteracy, and a criminal justice system that is inherently flawed. Women are subjugated and girls are silenced, their voices are too irrelevant to be noticed, their bodies are merely sex objects in the hands of their molesters. Before Uwa, there was Jennifer, an 18-year-old who was allegedly attacked and raped by a gang of five men in Kaduna, and countless others. From babies to pregnant women to the elderly, Nigerian women have faced the worst kind of gruesome ordeals.

Hong Kong Defied a Police Ban As they marks Tiananmen anniversary

Thousands of people in Hong Kong defied a police ban Thursday evening, breaking through barricades to hold a candlelight vigil on the 31st anniversary of China's crushing of a democracy movement centred on Beijing's Tiananmen Square.

With democracy all but snuffed out in mainland China, the focus has shifted increasingly to semi-autonomous Hong Kong, where authorities for the first time banned the annual vigil to remember victims of the 1989 crackdown.

Earlier Thursday, the Hong Kong legislature passed a law making it a crime to disrespect China's national anthem after the pro-democracy lawmakers disrupted proceeding twice to try to prevent the vote.

Despite the ban on the vigil, crowds poured into Victoria Park to light candles and observe a minute of silence at 8:09 pm (1209 GMT). Many changed “Democracy now”and also “Stand for freedom, stand with Hong Kong.”

While police played recordings warning people not to participate  ..

Hundreds and possibly thousands of people were killed when tanks and troops moved in on the night of June 3-4, 1989, to break up weeks of student-led protests that had spread to other cities and were seen as a threat to Communist Party rule.

China did not intervene directly in last year's protests, despite speculation it might deploy troops, but backed the tough response of the Hong Kong police and government.

It then announced last month at the annual meeting of its ceremonial ..
