 Big European clubs are scrambling to land the Nigerian striker - Lille have valued the player between £70m and £90m Victor Osimhen seems to be the most wanted player in Europe after Premier League club Chelsea join Real Madrid and Man United in the race to sign him from Ligue 1 side Lille, Complete Sports reports.

The 21-year-old is currently on the radar of European heavyweights including Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham as all these teams are said to be monitoring the youngster. Chelsea are looking to complement their efforts in front of goal having struggled this season with Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

The Federal Government says it is absolutely false the media report that 26 American arrived the Murtala Muhammed Inter­national Airport (MMIA), Lagos, on Monday without screening for Coronavirus.

Kaduna Prison Inmates Protests Violently


Inmates of the Prison at Kaduna state have began violent protest, insisting that officials must release them to avoid being infected by the deadly virus.

Security personnel, including prison wardens, are reportedly battling the inmates.

Reports say shots have been fired in the ensuing fracas.

Enugu International Airport Reconstruction Has Been Suspended




The suspension of the ongoing reconstruction work at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu has been announced by the Federal Government.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika.

He disclosed this after an inspection tour of the project, after arriving the airport aboard a police chopper, with only few officials.

According to Sirika, the project, which had gone beyond 90 percent, would have been delivered before Easter.

“But considering that the construction workers have downed tools owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Government hereby officially announce suspension of procurement.

“The work would have been completed in 6-7 days, but the workers left to be with their families in view of the social distancing,” the minister declared.


While appealing for understanding on the part of the people of the Southeast Zone, the Minister expressed the hope that the issues would be resolved in two to three weeks time
