According to Moore’s Law, it is generally held that the processing power in our computing technology is destined to double every two years. With respect to the trend first recognized in 1965, it only takes a glance at the headlines covering the high-concept gadgets and gizmos of today to notice just how far we’ve come, how fast we’ve gotten here, and moreover, that our drive to innovate has never been faster.
Throughout all of the hype elicited for such awe-inspiring
pipedreams, however, some of the most unbelievable leaps forward are
also the easiest to dismiss as sci-fi fantasy. But the reality is: The
future is now, and so too is the technology.
We’ve partnered with our friends at GMC to dispel what is no longer
the stuff of movie magic by ushering in the next generation of
technology made now, starting with the introduction of their own IntelliLink system
(available in the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra), which boasts a color
touch-screen and voice command, allowing drivers of today to navigate
their favorite radio stations, get directions, or make calls all while
keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
